Tara Coates :

Tara Coates

Type of Governor: Staff
Link Governor Role: Health and Safety

My name is Tara Coates and I grew up in Wolverhampton. I have BA (Hons) degree in Russian, German and European Politics and am also a qualified Irish Dancing Teacher and Adjudicator. I worked in Financial Services for 18 years within Investment Banking and have my Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (DipPFS). During this time I have had 3 children and after my third child I started working in the Office at SS Peter & Paul. I am Roman Catholic by faith and am part of the Blessed Carlo Acutis Parish in Wolverhampton. The church we attend as a family very much depends on which Mass time fits in with the children's activities for the weekend; we are very lucky to have such a choice. This is my first time taking on a role as a school Governor and I look forward to growing as a person in the role and watching SS Peter & Paul flourish.

Jo Heaney :

Jo Heaney

Type of Governor: Foundation
Link Governor Role:  Safeguarding

My name is Jo Heaney and I grew up in Wolverhampton, and I am very proud of the town. I attended primary school at St. Michael's and then secondary school at St. Edmund's. My degree was gained at Bradford University; I gained a BA 2:1 in Community Studies & Youthwork and have then had an enjoyable career working with children, young people and families, where safeguarding has been a core component of my career. My current job is in the NHS as a Senior Leader for Children’s Services. I value the opportunity to be a governor as it supports my view of enabling children & young people to achieve and gain the best experience from their education, to support development in their lives, and live as valuable members of our communities. I am fortunate to be a mum to two very active boys who keep me on my toes with their busy lives! I attend St. Michael's and this church has been key to my family for 40+ years; I also have a strong connection to St. Peter's & Paul's.

Kathryne Obassy :

Kathryne Obassy

Type of Governor: Foundation
Link Governor Role: Pupil Premium and Recovery Premium; Vice Chair

Kathryne was born in Wolverhampton and is one of five children. She loved learning languages at school and studied French, German and Italian at A'level before moving to Oxford to complete a degree in European and Middle Eastern Languages. After graduating she spent a gap year with Italian missionary sisters in Albania and then moved to London to train to teach. A career change took her to work as an interpreter for the government whilst living on a tiny houseboat on the River Thames. In 2013 Kathryne tested her vocation as a Benedictine nun in North Yorkshire. God willed differently for her and shortly after leaving the monastery Kathryne met her now husband at Mass in our parish! Kathryne has three young children and works as a social worker in Wolverhampton Children's Services. She loves being a Governor as it gives her a chance to give back to the parish and school which have been so important in her family's life. Kathryne attends all three churches in Blessed Carlo Acutis Parish.
