Welcome to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Primary Academy & Nursery
At SS Peter & Paul Catholic Primary Academy & Nursery, we are building our future together in Christ, on a firm foundation of love, learning and service. This mission underpins every aspect of school life and shapes the way we nurture, educate and support our children.
Located in the St Peter’s ward of Wolverhampton, our school proudly serves the Parish of St Carlo Acutis, Wolverhampton. We are deeply rooted in our Catholic faith, with strong parish links and a vibrant Catholic ethos that is central to all we do. Our faith guides our curriculum, relationships and daily experiences, ensuring that Gospel values are lived and celebrated throughout our community.
As a Catholic school, priority for admissions is given to baptised Catholic children, and Catholic teaching is woven throughout every aspect of our curriculum. We are committed to supporting each child’s spiritual, academic and personal development, enabling them to flourish as confident, compassionate and responsible individuals.
We are also a warm, inclusive and welcoming community. Pupils, parents, staff and visitors from all faiths and backgrounds are valued, respected and most welcome at SS Peter & Paul. As a proud School of Sanctuary, we place a strong emphasis on belonging, dignity and care for others, ensuring that everyone feels valued, welcome and supported.
Our school includes a Nursery for children aged three and above, alongside one class in each year group from Reception to Year 6. The school was originally built to accommodate 210 pupils, with an additional 50 Nursery places. Formerly known as The Giffard, the school was renamed SS Peter & Paul in April 2016 to strengthen our links with the parish church we predominantly serve.
SS Peter & Paul Catholic Primary Academy is proud to be part of the St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi Academy Trust, working collaboratively to live out the Diocesan Mission for all Catholic Schools, ‘Forming Christ-centred pilgrims of hope with kind hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge, and a hunger for justice’
