Congratulations to all of our Year 6 children on their Confirmation last night. A wonderful occasion witnessed by friends, family and staff.
Congratulations to all of our Year 6 children on their Confirmation last night. A wonderful occasion witnessed by friends, family and staff.
Today our afternoon Nursery visited Newbridge House as one of their acts of Advent Kindness. The children decorated the tree for the residents with the decorations they had made. They sang Jingle Bells and Baa Baa sheep and were rewarded with a cake. Everyone loved it and we were invited to go back again! Well done Nursery!
On Friday, Mrs Byrne and Mrs O’Leary took some of our children to the Remembrance parade that took place through Wolverhampton city centre – commemorating the lives of the people that fought for us in the war. This was attended by schools from all areas of Wolverhampton including the other schools in our academy.

This morning, parents joined year 5 in their Class Liturgy. The children shared their prayers and reading from the Gospel inspired by St Teresa and Little Way Week and the miracles of Jesus.
This morning was also an opportunity for parents to meet our new Music teacher – Miss Barrett. Miss Barrett performed one of the new songs the children have been learning.
Many thanks to everyone who joined us.
A massive thank you to all parents, children and staff for contributing to our Macmillan coffee morning in school. We are extremely proud to announce that we raised £346.41! This really is a tremendous amount!
Our school council judged the bake off entries as well as other competitions. They chose the following winners:
Class Bake Off Winners: Year 5
Staff/Parent Bake Off Winner:Â Mrs Olaszczyk
Colouring Competition: 1st – Nataniel 2nd – Amelia
Revolting Recipes Winner: 1st – Jagoda 2nd – Natalia
The wonderful cake provided by Mrs Willkhu was won by our school cook, and one of our parents guessed correctly for guessing the length of the sausage roll, which was 49cm!
Well done to everyone involved, and a huge thank you for Mrs Murphy for organising.
On Tuesday 11th September, Father Mark brought the Blessed Sacrament into our school hall for a service of Adoration. We joined all of the Catholic Primary Schools in the Diocese to take part in this special event simultaneously.
Last Tuesday, we had a visit from Kings Camp to promote physical activity.
Kings Camp is a UK registered charity and their mission is to get children active, having fun and learning together.
For 25 years they’ve been instilling a love of activity from an early age, making sport enjoyable and accessible, no matter the ability. They create programmes that are fun and inspiring and their Red Tops are selected for their outgoing and energetic personalities, their dedication to child development and their ability to inspire children, we call this magic formula The Kings Factor.
We certainly witnessed this at SS Peter and Paul, with our Red Top (Joe) providing the children with non-stop enthusiasm and fun games.
Kings Camp host holiday clubs at Tettenhall College, and we would really recommend signing your children up!
On Friday 29th June, some of our Years 3,4, 5 and 6 children represented the school in the Catholic Athletics Event, held at Our Lady & St Chad Catholic Academy.
The children competed in these events:
Long Jump, Ball Throw, Obstacle, 100m, 300m, and relay.
As with the last few years, our children competed brilliantly, and SS Peter and Paul came back with several medals, including a baton with the value ‘Truth’, showing our honesty when competing. Well done to all the children involved!
We celebrated our annual rainbow day last Friday. This year we were raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Mrs Willkhu kindly produced a unicorn cake, which was the main prize for the raffle, eventually won by a child in Reception.
Everyone joined in to support; Year 5 and 6 children ran stalls to raise money, Miss Aldridge did some art work, Miss Higgins, Mrs Kaur and Miss Rickhuss painted nails and faces and Mr Griffiths ran a penalty shootout competition with the help of the year 6 children.
Overall, we managed to raise an amazing £408.44!! (with £116 raised by the unicorn cake raffle alone!)
Thank you to everyone who donated!
On Friday morning, our saints feast day, we had our official opening of our new prayer garden. Father Mark came to bless the garden in front of our academy’s directors, governors, parents and our school council.
This was a lovely event, organised by Mrs Sandhu, which involved a celebratory tea party after.
We all feel privileged to have such a beautiful prayer garden designed by our own children of SS Peter and Paul. Many thanks to Father Mark, who was able to join us on this memorable day.
