Today, Year 4 were visited by firefighters from Tettenhall Fire Station. They learnt about what to do if there is a fire in their home, potential dangers in the home and how to do the stop, drop and roll technique.
It was lovely to invite our families into our Early Years setting to meet our new ducklings!
Yesterday, our Year 5 children went to St Edmund’s Catholic Academy to host a Liturgy in their school chapel. Their liturgy was about our mothers and Mary. They shared that no matter what our mothers will always love us.
Both children and staff had an awesome day celebrating World Book Day. We began the day with showing off our amazing outfits in a whole school assembly where each class performed a ‘cat walk’. During the day, each class was then visited by a different teacher who read an interesting story. This was followed by a class quiz in the afternoon where children were quizzed on their book and author knowledge and each class had some prizewinners. Finally, we had an end of day assembly where the best dressed boy and girl in each class was awarded a certificate and a book.
We celebrate World Book Day to show how much fun reading is and we all definitely had a lot of fun today. We hope children continue to read their way and are able to choose books they love, find a place they are comfortable reading in and, most importantly, make time to READ!

Really proud of our Tag Rugby team, who finished 3rd in yesterday’s city competition! Not only did they display some wonderful skill, but also played the game in the right way, demonstrating respect and sportsmanship to other teams! The SS Peter and Paul way!

Today, all our children have come dressed as what they feel God is calling them to be – their future vocation! We have had a range of vocations from teachers, mechanics, lawyers, vets, doctors, professional sports people, police and horse riders!
This morning, we were visited by Jo Goulding from the charity Father Hudson’s Care to talk about the issue of homelessness and how we can support those who do not have the basic human right of a warm bed, clean water and food.
She shared with children how Tabor House can support those who are homeless and the impact that this has had one some people’s lives.
Children were then provided with ideas about how we can support Father Hudson’s Care Good Shepherd Appeal during the period of Lent.
