Here are our children that have been nominated for praise this week.
Today, our children came to school dressed as what they would like to be in the future as a link to our vocations work in school and discussing God’s calling to us! The word vocation comes from the Latin word ‘Vocare’ meaning ‘to call’. We had a mixture of professions including nurses, police officers, fire officers, footballers, dancers, singers, lawyers, chefs and many more! The most pleasing message that came from the children as to why they wanted to do their profession was all focussed around ‘helping others’
We have also had some wonderful parents in Year 6 come into school to explain their vocations to the children – thank you!
Nursery have loved learning the story of The Gingerbread Man- and enjoyed making their own gingerbread men in class today.
Today some of our Year 5 Choir singers joined children from other schools in our MAC to collaborate on a joint performance at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

Today some of our Year 5 and 6 play leaders spent the day at Aldersley taking part in team work and communication activities. They were able to organise and play a range of games that they are now ready to share with our younger children on the playground at lunchtimes.
Yesterday, in partnership with Wolves Foundation, SS Peter and Paul were asked to host a ‘No Room for Racism’ Workshop which was being filmed by the Premier League. Not only that, but our children were shocked to discover that a special guest – Wolves superstar Adama Traore – came to talk to them about racism in football and what can be done!
As part of our work for supporting Mental Health Week, Pep the Poet came to school yesterday and did an assembly and workshops with all classes!
Today, some of our Year 3 and 4 children competed in a 3v3 basketball competition! They participated in two teams but when their scores were added together – they had finished 2nd! A wonderful achievement and a trophy to celebrate their outstanding effort! Well done!
