Here are the children who received praise this week!
We are really proud to have been recognised for living simply, sustainably and in solidarity by being awarded the Live Simply Award by CAFOD.
Pupils and staff are proud to have achieved the Live Simply Award after taking action to demonstrate they are living simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the world’s poorest communities. This two year journey has involved actions that have impacted school, the local area and globally.
Championed by overseas development charity CAFOD, we have been recognised for implemented a number of exceptional projects that highlighted the importance of caring for people and the planet.
We look forward to planning together as a school community to decide on ways our live simply journey can continue.
Yesterday, the children hosted a cake sale in school to raise money for school funds. Thank you for all the families and staff that contributed and baked some delicious cakes!
This morning, we had a kinetic letter family learning workshop, which was really well attended by families! It was lovely for parents to see the methods we use to teach handwriting and to become familiar with the language that we use in school. Here are the slides that were shared:

Our Play Leaders from Years 5 and 6 have started running activities on the Key Stage 1 playground – lovely to see so many of our young children enjoying games and being active at lunchtime!
It is great to see our Year 5 and 6 children starting their swimming lessons in school today!
Our after school club starts today as well for Years 1-3.
As we break up today for a Christmas break, we wish all our school community a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
Our children left today the way we love, enjoying Christmas stories read by our wonderful reading council!
Key Stage 1 led a very special Liturgy yesterday during which they thought about how they will show love to others this Christmas. Their idea to decorate purple heart shaped balloons with their ‘go forth’ messages was very special indeed! A lovely, prayerful way to start the day. Thank you to families able to attend and to school council for serving refreshments afterward. #readytheway #prayerandliturgy
