Here are our children that have been nominated for praise this week.
To link with our Live Simply Award and our Catholic Social Teachings, today was the launch of a new recycling project in partnership with Reconomy and Wolves Foundation.
Reconomy came into school to deliver an assembly to launch the recycling project and also inform the classes on the benefits of recycling. Our Key Stage 2 classes are tasked with collecting plastic bottles and putting them in a recycling bin in their classroom. The class who have collected the most bottles by the end of half term will win a special prize!
But that’s not all… the bottles collected will be turned into a new sports kit for our school, and the kit will be designed by one of our very own pupils!
Our Nursery children have been using their new touch screen board in their classroom – they are really enjoying using the new technology!
Yesterday, our choir attended Young Voices 2023 in Birmingham, Singing ‘with all of their heart’ in a choir that was 6448 strong. Also in attendance were the Beatbox collective, Heather Small, Nile Rodgers and other special guests.
Thank you for parents support, Mrs Byrne and Miss Barrett for attending with the children.
On Friday, our Early Years went to watch the Snow Play at the Newhampton Arts Centre! The children really enjoyed the show, thank you to the parents who supported in the transporting of children.
This morning, we were very lucky to be visited by visitors from the green square accord and TLC college, who are running a project on physical activity in the St Peter’s Ward. This morning, they were fact-finding with our children and parents on what sort of activities they currently do, where they do them and what they would like to do! This is an ongoing project we are very proud to be a part of!
This morning, we celebrated our Advent Mass in school. Some of our children wanted to show the bambinellis they had made! The children can take these to Church on Sunday at 10:15 am for the parish mass to be blessed.
