Yesterday in the cold, our football team had another fixture against Claregate Primary School! We were able to give more children a chance to play for the school, including Lily in Year 5! Despite a difficult first half, we made some changes and scored 2 goals in the second half through Oscar and Victor! The children’s attitudes never cease to amaze me, they just keep going and we love that at SS Peter and Paul!
Congratulations to our Year 6 Confirmandi, who celebrated today after their Holy Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday night.
This morning, Year 5 treated us to a class assembly with a twist. With the theme around the current 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the children gave the school and their parents a guide of the Year 5 Curriculum, engaging parents participation in questions around different subjects such as French, History and Geography!
The children were superb and did their parents proud! Thank you to the parents that supported and participated!
Thank you to Year 4 who held a Class Liturgy this morning on St Andrew, and thank you to the parents that came to support.
Everyone wrote a prayer on a flower, folded the petals and watched as the petals opened on the water!
Our Key Stage 2 children attended the Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham to watch Beauty and the Beast! They really enjoyed seeing a live show and will develop further work on this in the coming weeks.
Yesterday, we sent a team of Year 5 and Year 6 children to participate in the Sportshall Athletics event at Aldersley High School.
The events the children participated in were: hurdles, relay, throwing, speed bounce, long jump and high jump! The better they performed – the more points they earned for their team!
Well done everyone that attended, and thank you to parents who supported with transport.
Here are our children that have been nominated for praise this week.
Yesterday, our Year 5 children took part in a national STEM Challenge – Road to RIAT! They used their skills from a variety of curriculum areas: Maths, Science, English, PSHE and Design Technology to compete in a Glider Challenge and then they had to design a sustainable aircraft for the future!
