Here are our children that have been nominated for praise this week.
This afternoon, our girl’s football team had their first competitive game against St Andrew’s Primary School. It was an extremely close game that was end to end and played in a wonderful spirit by both teams but with the game at 5-4 and SSPP pushing for an equaliser, St Andrews’s broke and scored a 6th to make the final score 6-4!
A PCSO visited nursery today, and talked to them about how the police help others. They all had a chance to try on a hat or helmet and a jacket.
In Nursery, children have been learning about the importance of oral hygiene; they brought their tooth brushes to school and we all brushed our teeth together.
Reception have been learning about the importance of keeping their teeth clean. They used their own toothbrushes but were given a brand new one and paste at the end of the day.
Year 5 have completed a day of outdoor learning today. They did some cross-curricular science work –
testing out forces when running with parachutes. In maths, they did some measuring of perimeter to calculate a mile so they could complete their daily mile. The class then finished the day with some Irish Dancing for St Patrick’s Day. Well done!
Over the next few weeks, our local PCSO, Trudi Brittle, will be visiting all our classes. Today, she visited Year 6 to discuss anti-social behaviour.
Congratulations to Ala, whose poem and nomination for her mum won the Mother’s Day hamper. Every child that nominated their mum went home with a goody bag. Thanks to Mrs Tudor and our Minnie Vinnies.
Today, our Early Year’s team invited in our mums to have a party with their children ready for Mother’s Day on Sunday! What a wonderful celebration for our marvellous mums!
Today, our Year 4 class had an educational visit from Tettenhall Fire Service. They were given tips on how to be safe at home in case of the fire. This included Stop, Drop and Roll incase they were on fire!
