Oliver King Foundation

8th June 2022Mr J Morgan

We were very proud today to welcome Mark King from the Oliver King Foundation to deliver our community defibrillator and provide training to members of staff.

The Oliver King Foundation are determined to save as many young lives as possible. Their aim is to ensure that no other family has to suffer a similar loss to the family of Oliver King.

The Foundation was set up in January 2012 following the tragic death of 12-year-old Oliver King. Oliver died from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome, a hidden heart condition which kills 12 young people every week. Oliver attended King David High School in Liverpool and suffered a cardiac arrest whilst taking part in a swimming race. It is estimated that 270 children die every year.

We would like to thank Mark and Chris for visiting our school, providing a defibrillator and providing our staff with the training to use it.

Huge thank you to Mrs Jenks and Mrs Rayney for helping with a special role and also thanks to Mrs Tudor for organisation such a wonderful day!

May Procession

28th May 2022Mr J Morgan

The weather couldn’t spoil the Crowning of Our Lady and our May Procession earlier today on Wednesday. Thank you to our families for sending flowers and plants to make our annual tradition a very special service indeed. Year 6 led the service beautifully with readings and prayers and the glorious singing was incredible. Thank you Father Mark for coming to share this with us today.

Commonwealth Celebration

23rd May 2022Mr J Morgan

To celebrate the Commonwealth Games this summer, we have joined with Connect Education who have organised a Wolverhampton Community Games in which schools across Wolverhampton will take part in competitions, events and tournaments. We celebrated the batons arrival in true SS Peter and Paul spirit, welcoming it with a dance routine from the children in. Each Year group contributed to the celebration, from flag making, to singing Jersey’s national anthem. It was wonderful to see all of the children representing our allocated country in their red and white clothing and we look forward to watching the games and cheering on Jersey!

Years 2 and 6 learnt the Jersey National Anthem, Years 1, 3 and 5 made flags and Years 2, 4 and our school dance club learnt a dance which you can watch below!
