Please read our letter to parents at the end of this half term:
What a fantastic day we have had in school! Thank you to all of the parents who have come into school today to speak to the children about their culture. We have all learnt so much! Thank you also to the parents who have sent in information, photos and food.

As part of our Black History Month celebrations, our classes have been experiencing African drumming sessions with Cally. In these sessions, the children have been learning about the history of the drums; how to hold and position the hands to play the notes and learning rhythms and songs from West Africa.

Today, our Year 5 and 6 children attended a workshop with Severn Trent to learn about how important water is in our lives. The children learnt about the cleaning process that ensures we have the cleanest water to drink and how lucky we are to be able to have clean drinking water from a tap! They also went into detail about how water is important to our body and why it is important to keep hydrated!
Yesterday in school, we celebrated the Feast of Blessed Carlo Acutis, the saint of our Parish, with our Year 5 children leading Mass in school. The children shared stories about his childhood and spoke about how they can relate to him in their Faith lessons.
Today in praise assembly, Mrs Griffiths presented the winning children with their mug designs and their actual mugs! She also announced that we raised a fantastic £300 for Macmillan from the competition and cake donations! Thank you everyone that contributed!
We are delighted to inform you that we have been awarded an Artsmark Silver Award!
This is what they said about our SS Peter and Paul!
‘You are positively increasing the emphasis on arts and culture and engaging with the Arts is having tangible results on pupils and staff. The Arts feature in the School Improvement Plan and are supported by SLT, and Governors are kept informed. Pupils access a consistent and relevant range of experiences in school which leads to showcasing within school and within the immediate community. Projects such as Molineux Alley and City Diversity are great ways to connect with the Arts and other local schools. It’s also good to see that the pandemic didn’t stop your arts engagement which continued through digital means.’
Congratulations on your Artsmark Silver Award!
Lovely to see our Year 6 Liturgy Leaders leading our prayer in the month of the Holy Rosary! The children are leading this daily before lunch with the rest of the children invited to join.
