We are very proud to announce that before Christmas, our Choir raised £85 singing hymns at the market in Wolverhampton City Centre. This money was then exchanged for Just Eat vouchers and was donated to the critical care unit at New Cross Hospital to thank them for the amazing work they have been doing.
We were very proud to receive a letter of thanks from the Matron – Gerardine Hardesty – praising our children for their fantastic efforts.

Today we officially said goodbye to Mrs Harris, who has given so much of her life to our school to help and support out children at lunchtimes. She is going to enjoy her retirement with some flowers and gifts from staff to say thank you for all her time she has given.

Thank you Mrs Harris for everything you have done 🙂
Yesterday afternoon, our children enjoyed their Christmas experience of ‘Twas the night before Christmas’. Our children all received their secret packages (thank you families) and got changed into their pyjamas as their teachers unwrapped a special present that had been left for them. They then listened intently to the story of ‘Twas the night before Christmas before listening to a special message from St Nicholas himself!

Each class then did a range of activites all focussed around the story; artisitc pictures, music, stocking decorating just to name a few! What a magical afternoon had by all…. and to all a goodnight…
A HUGE thank you to our brilliant school cooks who made a delicious Christmas dinner for everyone today! Mrs Harris was our guest of honour enjoying being served for a change in her last week with us. What lovely manners from all of our children too.

Thank you for all those children that created a Bambinelli over the last few weeks. On Tuesday, after delivering our Mass, Father Mark gave these models of baby Jesus his special blessing.

Yesterday, our Year 5 and 6 children went on a trip to the Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham to watch a production of Alice in Wonderland. This was courtesy of the Rotary Club’s kind grant to give these children an opportunity they may not usually have had.

The children loved the production and were amazed by the theatre itself. They behaved wonderfully and I’m sure this will be the first of many visits to the theatre now!
Our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children attended Newhampton Arts Centre going on a journey through the seasons with Moomintroll, Snufkin, Little My, Thingumy and Bob. There was lots of audience participation and lots of laughter. The children’s behaviour was impeccable, it was a fabulous trip.

Amy Allen from Wolverhampton University came into school today to launch Children’s University with our Year 5 class! The children are part of a select group of school’s, who will be able to achieve stamps in their new Children’s University passports by doing educational activties outside of school. This will then lead to them having a graduation at Wolverhampton University in June next year, where parents will be able to see them graduate!

We are very excited to be part of this as a school, as it will provide our children with something exciting to work towards and also include a few visits to Wovlerhampton University. The children will continue this during their time in Year 6.
