Reception had a wonderful trip to Wildside. They enjoyed hunting for minibeasts and looking in different habitats. They also explored the pond, soil and the trees.

Last week, we had wonderful news! One of our brilliant students was chosen as the winner of the Dear Ma’am letter writing project. Congratulations to Leo in Year 4!

The judges felt that he asked her Majesty some great questions, and were impressed with their knowledge and overall enthusiasm about the Platinum Jubilee.
Their letter will be included in the book being specially produced by GoWrite.
What a wonderful Feast Day we have had, and what a great job raising money for mental health charities while boosting our own wellbeing and mental health.

As always, thank you to our families and the wider community for making this such a special event.

To begin our exciting day, we arrived at the sporting stadium, soaked in rain due to the miserable weather, then moved to a grand hall of which we started our warm-up at. This was essential so we would be able to start our next exercise with an immense amount of energy, boost our mood up and make us confident for the day.
At the end, we were transported outside to start our first session, which was a well-known game called Capture the Flag. Personally, I enjoyed this game greatly! We had a break and moved onto our next game, which was placed in a football court called Guardians of the Galaxy. This included a set of three games, and one was my favourite so far. To brighten up out mood, we than had a spiritual yoga session, which was a really fun yet peaceful event and I loved it. We ended our day practising Volleyball, which was extremely entertaining and one of my favourites too. I am really grateful that my classmates and i could participate in this and I would love to go again!
Last week at SS Peter and Paul, we celebrated National School Sports Week! We hosted all of our sports days, had commonwealth workshops, our key stage 1 children visited the Community School Games at Aldersley and incorporated sport into our curriculum in other ways. Look at this video below as an example!
Last Thursday, Nursery had a wonderful day out at Wild Zoo. Huge thanks to the volunteers who accompanied us, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Last week, Years 1,2, 3 and 6 welcomed representatives from the Commonwealth Games, who guided the children in a workshop all about the history of the Commonwealth Games. The children dramatised significant historical events that have happened in the games and discussed how the children could cheer the Athletes on in Wolverhampton and Birmingham
Yesterday was our annual Sports Day Events in National School Sport Week! Our children did us proud competing in a variety of events including; sprints, egg and spoon, sack race, javelings, obstacles…. There was a lovely supportive atmosphere created by the children and families who came to watch – thank you!
Yesterday, we were very proud of 15 of our Year 5 children, who graduated with a Bronze Award, with 2 children also graduating with their Silver Award. They donned traditional caps and gowns in their graduation ceremony, which was well supported by parents.
