Over the last term some of our children have attended a special STEM after school club where they designed, manufactured, evaluated and improved a model Formula One racing car. On Monday, three teams attended a STEM racing event at Harper Adams University where they competed against 12 other teams. They were judged not only on how fast their cars were on the track but also by how well made they were and on their ability to justify their design choices to a panel of judges. Miss Field was exceptionally proud of all of the children who took part for their team work and their oracy skills on the day. Congratulations to team Fast and Furious who came top 3 in their verbal presentation, Lightning Girls who won an award for ‘Future Vision’ and for team Storm Speeders who won two awards for the Fastest car and Best engineered car.
