At this time of uncertainty and anxiety with our churches closed for public worship, Pope Francis has called on the world’s Christians and people of goodwill to join together to pray the Lord’s Prayer on Wednesday, 25 March at 11am UK time (midday in Rome).

The ‘Our Father’ is the prayer Jesus taught his disciples and the first prayer many of us learned to pray.

Pope Francis encourages us to “remain united and make our closeness felt – especially with healthcare professionals and those who serve.”

Join our staff, governors, pupils in school and families at home in uniting in prayer.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
